On the banks of the Old Meuse, the De Wissen Meuse Centre is the point of departure for a stunning exploration of the Meuse Valley.
The exhibition on the Meuse – complete with interactive animation stand and a superb film about the river – offers a captivating insight into the watercourse that gives the Meuse Valley its extraordinary character. And our basket weaving museum will explain to you how Stokkem was formerly the centre for this fascinating craft.
From April to October, you will be able to discover the exceptional flora and fauna of the Old Meuse from onboard a 'Fluisterboot' as it glides silently over the water, and during the course of a stroll in Kerkeweerd nature park.
